Why is my video capture stuttering?

After recording your gameplay footage, either in a Clip or Recording, you may encounter stuttering during the playback. Furthermore, this may also be encountered when you upload the Session and view it in the Dashboard. This article looks to provide some guidance on how to fix this issue.

The game you are testing is using an extremely high amount of CPU resource

If the game you are testing is using >95% of the host PC's CPU, you may encounter some stuttering due to resource limitations. If this is the case, please ensure all nonessential applications and processes running on your PC are closed. If you have done this, restart your PC and attempt the test again.

Your host PC has multiple monitors setup

If you are using a multi-monitor PC setup, TopMod QA and other video recording/sharing applications can encounter difficulties with screen capture if the monitors have different refresh rates set.

If possible, please ensure both monitors are running at the same refresh rate. A guide on how to do this can be found here
